Willis Hall

Appleby College is a co-educational boarding and day school for students from Grades 7 through 12. The educators at Appleby teach that the arts are relevant and applicable to many aspects of life.

Willis Hall is a 150-seat drama and recital hall with excellent acoustics. Novita designed the presentation systems and specified the theatrical equipment, with ease of use and safety for the students a top priority. Novita worked with the project architects to ensure optimal auditorium acoustics and sightlines.

The Hall was built underneath a student residence building which was being constructed at the same time. This was a very cost-effective solution, as the volume of space needed for Willis Hall was easily accommodated in the basement of the residence.

Novita also worked on the College’s multipurpose Dining Hall (completed 2008). The Dining Hall is a multifunctional space with integrated audio, video, and lighting. The Hall accommodates 550 people and is equipped to host school dances and other large school gatherings. Appleby College makes the Hall available to the community for conferences, banquets, and weddings. The Hall features combined room controls for ease of use.
