Bronte Creek Amphitheatre

Bronte Creek Provincial Park is a 640 hectare park located in the Queen Elizabeth Way corridor midway between Toronto and Hamilton. The park serves a wide variety of day users from the densely populated areas surrounding the site. The goal of this project was to create a destination attraction based upon musical presentation.

The concept for this 1,500 seat amphitheatre was inspired by a sundial and it includes ecologically sensitive uses of site drainage and plantings. The concept was also influenced by the great amphitheatres, such as Epidauros, of the classical Greek period.
